Heat- and light-stabilized polyamide 12 elastomer for molding of sport shoe soles VESTAMID® eCO E40 CC50 is a PA 12 elastomer consisting of PA 12 segments and softening segments. The material is free of volatile or migrating plasticizer. The VESTAMID® E represents thermoplastic elastomers generically characterized as polyether block copolyamides (PEBA) consisting of PA 12 and polyether segments. VESTAMID® eCO E40 CC50 is especially developed for sport shoe soles. It has good impact strength at low temperatures. eCO stands for Evoniks aim to reduce CO2 trough use of renewable or circular feedstocks via mass-balance approach. VESTAMID® eCO E40 CC50 is supplied as spherical pellets in moisture-proof packaging, ready for processing. The process temperatures should be within a range of 170°C – 210°C. VESTAMID® L 1930 NC Europe
VESTAMID® L1930 NC is a heat stabilized, with 30% milled glass fiber-reinforced PA 12 compound suitable for injection molding of stiff, relatively warp free molded parts. Due to the reinforcement moldings from this compound exhibit a high strength and rigidity. Because PA 12 absorbs only little water, the parts have a good dimensional stability and almost unaffected mechanical properties at changing ambient humidity. Due to the reinforcement the shrinking of moldings is decreased compared with unreinforced compounds. Using specialty short glass fibers for the reinforcement of VESTAMID® L1930 NC the difference between longitudinal and transverse shrinkage relating to the flow direction of the melt is significantly lower than with common glass fiber-reinforced products. VESTAMID® L L1670 Europe
VESTAMID® L1670 has been developed especially for the extrusion of thin wire insulations and cable jacketings. VESTAMID® L1670 coatings exhibit a low coefficient of friction which facilitates the laying of cable. Switchboard wiring isolated with VESTAMID® L1670 can be soldered with no worry of interference by the plastic resin. The wiring can be soldered without the need to strip the isolating layer. Jacketing of VESTAMID® L1670 protects buried cables from attack by termites. This partially crystalline polyamide 12 bases compounds have a very low water absorption. VESTAMID® LX9112 BK is a heat-stabilized, conductive polyamide 12 compound, especially developed for the pore-free extrusion coating of steel tubing. Compared to commonly use conductive extrusion compounds VESTAMID® LX9112 BK is distinguished by a significant lower melt viscosity and respectively by outstanding extrusion characteristics even in very thin coatings. Steel tubing coated with VESTAMID® LX9112 BK meet the requirements of the US automotive industry to prevent electrostatic charge caused by flowing liquid fuels. Due to the excellent impact strength and the good abrasion and chemical resistance of polyamide 12 the seamless coating with VESTAMID® LX9112 BK improves the corrosion resistance of steel tubing significantly.
VESTAMID® L LX9117 BK Europe
VESTAMID® LX9117 BK is a glass-fiber-reinforced, electrically conductive PA12 molding compound that was developed in particular for the injection molding of connecting elements for fuel line systems (such as quick connectors). The electrical conductivity of VESTAMID® LX9117 BK changes only slightly on contact with fuels, even if they contain alcohol. This is of great importance for use in fuel-conducting systems.
