Eraclene® FA 506 BCA

Generic Family: Polyethylene, High DensitySupplied by: Versalis S.p.A.
Eraclene FA 506 BCA can be processed either in blend and in coextrusion. It is possible to use it pure for high rigidity grocery sacks and shopping bags. Usage in blend and/or in coextrusion with LDPE and LLDPE is also recommended for high strength thermo-shrinkable film, as well as for hygienic packaging. The excellent balance between drawability and bubble stability makes Eraclene FA 506 BCA the optimum choice for manufacturing of high quality thin film characterized by outstanding mechanical properties. Its broad molecular weight distribution and density successfully combine excellent performance at high extrusion rates with high film strength and sealability.

Sustainability
The product Eraclene FA 506 BCA ‘Bio Circular attributed’ is a highly sustainable HDPE produced using bionafta from renewable raw materials together with traditional raw materials. In order to attribute the sustainable feedstock component to the final product Versalis applies the Mass Balance approach, a recognized methodology that allows to trace the flow of materials along the value chain and to assign the sustainability characteristic of the raw material to the final product on a documentary basis. Eraclene FA 506 BCA provides the same chemical composition and physical-mechanical performance of the traditional grade, in addition is accompanied by a sustainability declaration that certifies the share of bio attributed product. It is a high density polyethylene resin, hexene copolymer, with antioxidants, suitable for blown film and extrusion technology. The production of Eraclene FA 506 BCA allows to contribute to the circular economy, since the bionafta used derives from waste from industrial processing of organic substances (e.g. used cooking oils). Eraclene FA 506 BCA will be bio circular attributed for 95%. The exact amount of “bio circular attributed” product will be reported in the sustainability certificate issued upon the delivery of the product.
