This compound is designed to offer excellent high speed processability as given by low extrusion pressures and smooth insulation surface quality. Furthermore, since it is fully pre-compounded with all the necessary ingredients, DGDK-6924 NT EXP1 offers better dispersion of the nucleating agent allowing high expansion rates to be achieved with more consistent processability (capacitance and diameter). It is stabilized for long term cable performance in data cable applications.

DOW ENDURANCE™ DHDA-7708 BK is a thermoplastic semiconductive compound specifically designed for jacketing over medium, high, and extra-high voltage power cables. It combines the excellent physical properties and low moisture vapor transmission normally associated with Dow insulating jacket materials with the conductivity of thermoplastic semiconductive insulation shielding compounds. In medium voltage cable applications, a semiconductive jacket provides cable endurance and prolongs cable life by reducing neutral-to-ground impulse voltage. The semiconductive jacket enables on-reel cable diagnostic analysis in high and extra-high voltage applications.
Compared to conventional thermoplastic semiconductive materials, DOW ENDURANCE™ DHDA-7708 BK offers:
- Improved environmental stress-crack resistance

DOW ENDURANCE™ HFDB-0801 BK EC was specifically developed utilizing a special acetylene carbon black to provide a super-smooth surface yielding a more perfect interface between the extruded shield and the insulation. As a result, significantly improved cable performance can be expected. DOW ENDURANCE™ HFDB-0801 BK EC is formulated with a higher temperature peroxide. Thus, DOW ENDURANCE™ HFDB-0801 BK EC is less subject to pre-cure or scorch within the processing extruder and die.
