Alkatane HD0490 is an injection moulding grade of High Density Polyethylene combining excellent impact resistance with high density, hardness, stiffness and toughness. Alkatane HD0490 is intended for use in the production of stackable transport, storage and bottle crates and industrial mouldings demanding very good mechanical properties. Addition of a UV stabilizer should be considered where the intended application involves intermittent to extended exposure to sunlight. Suitability for use in any application should be determined by appropriate performance testing.

Alkathene LD0128MS is a low density polyethylene designed for use in the production of medium gauge (40-80µm) high quality film. Alkathene LD0128MS is formulated with a process stabilisation and antiblock additive package and and an additive (erucamide) designed to confer a medium level of slip. Alkathene LD0128MS is particularly suitable for use in film applications where high clarity, medum to high strength and medium slip are required.

Alkathene LD0220MS is a low density polyethylene designed for use in the production of low gauge (20 - 50µm) high quality film. Alkathene LD0220MS is formulated with a process stabilisation and antiblock additive package and contains an additive (erucamide) designed to provide a medium level of slip. Film Extrusion: Alkathene LD0220MS is intended for use in high quality low gauge applications requiring medium slip, including lamination and overwrap films. It is typically blended with LLDPE for these applications.

Alkathene LD1217 is an extrusion coating grade exhibiting very low odour and taint and excellent heat seal characteristics. It also has good drawdown and very low neck-in allowing low coating weights whilst maintaining very good adhesion to a variety of substances. Alkathene LD1217 is ideally suited for liquid packaging and other sensitive food packaging laminates.

Alkathene LD6622 is a high flow injection moulding grade of low density polyethylene. Alkathene LD6622 is intended for use in the production of thin-walled injection mouldings. LD6622 is not recommended for high stress crack resistance applications. Suitability for use in any application should be determined by appropriate performance testing.

Alkathene LDD201 is a low density polyethylene designed for a variety of medium to heavy gauge (50-150µm) general purpose film applications. Alkathene LDD201 is formulated with a process stabilisation additive package but contains no antiblock or slip additives. LDF433AB is a low density polyethylene designed for a variety of medium to heavy gauge (70 - 200µm) applications where increased stiffness is required. LDF433AB is formulated with antiblock and stabilisation (BHT free). LDF433AB is intended for use in medium to heavy gauge (70 - 200µm) applications where increased stiffness is required. LDF433AB is suitable for food contact applications and conforms to the requirements of the United States Food and Drug Administration CFR 21 177.1520, paragraph (c), item 2.1.

Alkathene LDH210 is a low density polyethylene designed for a variety of medium gauge (40-80µm) general purpose film applications. Alkathene LDH210 is formulated with a process stabilisation additive package but contains no antiblock or slip additives. Film Extrusion: Alkathene LDH210 is intended for use in bundle shrink films as well as a variety of other medium gauge applications including produce bags and carry bags. Alkathene LDH210 is also used as a minor component in many LLDPE films.

Alkathene LDH215 is a low density polyethylene designed for a variety of medium gauge (40-80µm) general purpose applications in which a high slip film is required. It is typically blended with LLDPE for applications such as lamination and overwrap films.

Alkathene LDJ226 is a low density polyethylene designed for a variety of low gauge (20-50µm) general purpose applications where antistatic or a low to medium slip film is required. Alkathene LDJ226 is formulated with a process stabilisation and antiblock package and contains an antistatic additive. Film Extrusion: Alkathene LDJ226 is intended for use in a wide range of shrink and other low gauge film applications including carry bags and overwrap films that require antiblock and a low to medium level of slip.

Alkathene LDN248 is a medium flow injection moulding grade of low density polyethylene. Alkathene LDN248 is intended for use in the production of injection moulded caps and closures. LDN248 is not recommended for high stress crack resistance applications. Suitability for use in any application should be determined by appropriate performance testing.

Alkathene XDS34 is a low density polyethylene designed for a variety of heavy gauge (70 - 200µm) film applications. Alkathene XDS34 does not contain any additives. Film Extrusion: Alkathene XDS34 is intended for applications such as sacks, palletwrap, shrink film and a variety of industrial films requiring heavy gauge film.

Alkathene XJF143 is a low density polyethylene designed for a variety of low gauge (20 - 50µm) general purpose film applications. Alkathene XJF143 does not contain any additives. Film Extrusion: Alkathene XJF143 is intended for use in a variety of low gauge general purpose film applications, in blown film or cast film processes. Alkathene XJF143 may also be used for other applications such as extruded foam and masterbatch.

Alkathene XLC177 is an extrusion coating grade exhibiting very good drawdown. The higher density and low MFI of this grade provide low moisture vapour transmission rates and excellent hot tack. Alkathene XLC177 has been designed specifically for milkboard coating but is also used for fabric coating and production of cardboard stock.

XLF175 is a low density polyethylene of medium density designed to meet the needs of the overwrap market. XLF175 is formulated with a BHT free antioxidant package. XLF175 is intended primarily for applications such as the overwrap of paper products. It is necessary to add suitable levels of additives, particularly slip, to meet the conversion needs of high speed overwrapping equipment. XLF175 is suitable for food contact applications and conforms to the requirements of the United States Food and Drug Administration CFR 21 177.1520, paragraph (c), item 2.1.

Alkathene XLF197 is a low density polyethylene designed for the production of thin gauge (less than 20µm) high clarity films. Alkathene XLF197 does not contain any additives. Film Extrusion: Alkathene XLF197 is intended primarily for the manufacture of thin food wrap and dry-cleaning films. It may also be used for other extrusion processes and masterbatch.
