RTV-2 P-656 Q North America
Silicones, Inc. is proud to introduce a new line of soft, 1:1, platinum catalyzed, translucent silicones designed to be used in special effects or in glove molding. The same base, P-656 B, can be used in conjunction with different catalysts to achieve different hardnesses. Also, you can introduce additives to decrease hardness and/or create tactile adhesion.

RTV-2 P-70 North America
P-70 is a high durometer, platinum-catalyzed, RTV-2 silicone rubber. It is easy to mix and de-air, and will cure with virtually no shrinkage. The speed at which the rubber hardens can be dramatically accelerated with heat or with Pt Accelerator at room temperature. A two hour post-cure at 250°F will increase the hardness to 70. Addition-cure two-component silicone rubbers may show inhibition sensitivity. P-70 offers outstanding chemical and heat resistance and the rigidity to withstand the expansion of most polyurethane foams.
RTV-2 P-90 North America
P-90 is a high tear strength, platinum-catalyzed, RTV-2 silicone rubber. It is easy to mix and de-air, and will cure with virtually no shrinkage. The speed at which the rubber hardens can be dramatically accelerated with heat or with Pt Accelerator at room temperature. Addition-cure two-component silicone rubbers exhibit excellent chemical and heat resistance, but may show inhibition sensitivity. P-90 offers excellent release properties and is extremely useful for those applications where exceptional flexibility and tear resistance are required.
RTV-2 P-FDA North America
P-FDA is designed for mold making where FDA approval for food contact is desired or required. It is approved for repeated food contact, such as making candy or ice sculptures, but is not approved for medicinal purposes or for use inside the human body. P-FDA is a platinum-catalyzed, addition reaction, flexible silicone with excellent tear resistance and tensile strength. P-FDA is mixed 100 parts of Base to 10 parts of Activator by weight. Deviations from this ratio will cause changes in the physical properties. Choose a container with a volume that is four times greater than that of the rubber. Weigh the components accurately and mix thoroughly. Since there is no color, mix very carefully, scraping the sides and bottom of the container to insure that there is no unmixed portion. Place the container in a vacuum chamber and deaerate at 28 inches of mercury vacuum until the mass of rubber rises and then collapses.
RTV-2 XP-696 North America
XP-696 silicone rubber is a two-component, addition reaction, platinum catalyzed system that cures at room temperature. It has a moderate durometer, high elongation, superb physical properties, excellent release and good chemical resistance. Quick demold time, 2 hours, and is less prone to inhibition from Objet and Modeling Board masters.
RTV-2 XP-697 North America
XP-697 silicone rubber is a two-component, addition reaction, platinum catalyzed system that cures at room temperature. It has a moderate durometer, high elongation, superb physical properties, excellent release and good chemical resistance. Quick demold time, 2 hours, and is less prone to inhibition from Objet and Modeling Board masters.
RTV-2 XT-153 North America
XT-153 is a two component condensation cure silicone rubber mold making material. It differs from most silicone rubber materials in that it is translucent rather than opaque. In thin sections, it is nearly transparent. It has been designed with a low viscosity to enable it to reproduce intricate detail and a very low durometer that allows maximum flexibility. It can also be easily colored by the addition of appropriate pigments. This unique combination of properties makes XT-153 well-suited for the special effects and movie making industries.
RTV-2 XT-386/100 North America
XT-386 is a variation of GI-311. XT-386 only requires the addition of T.O. tin catalyst, to achieve a rapid cure.
RTV-2 XT-386/200 North America
XT-386 is a variation of GI-311. XT-386 only requires the addition of T.O. tin catalyst, to achieve a rapid cure.
RTV-2 XT-386/400 North America
XT-386 is a variation of GI-311. XT-386 only requires the addition of T.O. tin catalyst, to achieve a rapid cure.
RTV-2 XT-491 North America
XT-491 is a high tear, high tensile strength, tin catalyzed silicone designed to be used when casting polyurethane foam, polyester and epoxy parts. XT-491 is useful for applications where a flexible rubber with increased chemical resistance is required. When catalyzed with one of our library life extending catalysts (see supplemental products) and stored correctly, a longer life of the cured mold should be expected. Its high tear strength, elongation and tensile strength make it an excellent choice for any mold making application. It is also resistant to inhibition by most common mold making substrates, eliminating the need to use mold sealers.
RTV-2 XT-493 North America
XT-493 is a high tear strength, thixotropic, two-component, tin catalyzed RTV silicone rubber. It is designed for casting polyurethane, polyester and epoxy parts. XT-493 is useful for applications where a non-flowing, non-sagging rubber is needed. It is an excellent product with the following advantages over other RTV silicones. Applications: XT-493 is recommended for casting polyesters, polyurethanes, waxes, gypsum, concrete, epoxies and other plastics. It is useful for upright applications where little or no flow is required.
RTV-2 XT-551 North America
XT-551, is a rapidly curing tin-catalyzed RTV-2 silicone rubbers. It offers a working time of one hour, a demold time of 4 hours and are virtually cured in 8 hours at 70°F / 50% Relative Humidity. The rapid cure allows two pours in one day. This product cures with very low shrinkage and has an outstanding library life. It also has a relatively high modulus making it an excellent choice for prototyping.
RTV-2 XT-585 North America
XT-585 is a high strength, two-component, tin catalyzed RTV silicone rubber with excellent resistance to polyurethane resins. It is designed for casting solid polyurethane, epoxies, polyesters and other plastic parts.
