PEXIDAN® H/T Africa & Middle East
Low density, moisture curable polyethylene compound for 125°C/150°C appliance wire and coil-lead wire applications. PEXIDAN® H/T is a low density flame-retardant XLPE system curable by moisture and consists of a silane pre-grafted base compound A-3001 and a flame-retardant catalyst masterbatch CAT-012FR. Mixed and extruded in the proper proportions (67/33) this mixture results in a material curable by exposure to 70-95°C hot water or even ambient moisture. PEXIDAN® H/T is listed with CSA for AWM and CL1251, CL1252 & CL1503, and for UL AWM styles 3173 and 3321. See below for a more complete list of suitable AWM styles. PEXIDAN® H/T is halogenated but is RoHS-compliant.
PEXIDAN® J/T Africa & Middle East
Low density moisture curable polyethylene compound for SAE J1128 Automotive wire applications. PEXIDAN® J/T is a low density flame-retardant XLPE system curable by moisture and consists of a silane pre-grafted base compound A-3001 and a flame-retardant catalyst masterbatch CAT-012FR. Mixed and extruded in the proper proportions (60:40), the two components result in a material that is curable by exposure to 70-95°C hot water or even ambient moisture. PEXIDAN® J/T is designed to meet SAE J1128 standards for GXL, TXL and SXL type insulation. PEXIDAN® J/T is halogenated but is RoHS-compliant.
PEXIDAN® L/T Eclipse Africa & Middle East
High density moisture-curable PE compound for hot & cold water plumbing pipe. Suitable for DR 9 pipe applications in continuous service at operating conditions of 140°F and 80 psi. PEXIDAN® L/T (including L/T-UV and L/T Eclipse) is a high density PEX system consisting of a silane grafted base compound A-1001 and a catalyst masterbatch CAT-003 (or A-1022 and CAT-117). When mixed and extruded in the proper proportions, the two-component system results in a material that is crosslinkable by exposure to moisture or by immersion in hot water at 90-95°C. PEXIDAN® L/T is listed by NSF International to standards 14 and 61 and to Canadian Standards Association standard B137.5. NSFI certification to ASTM F876 and ASTM F2023 testifies to its superior resistance to oxidation by hot, chlorinated water. PEXIDAN® R/T is listed with the Canadian Standards Association for use in RW-90 and RWU-90 XLPE applications and rated to -40°C. PEXIDAN® R/T is non-flame-retardant, halogen-free and RoHS-compliant.
PEXIDAN® R/T-UV2 Africa & Middle East
Low density, moisture curable polyethylene compound, for low voltage building wire insulation (CSA RW90, RWU90, AC90, TECK90 - Sunlight Resistant). PEXIDAN® R/T-UV2 is a low density XLPE system curable by moisture and consists of a silane pre-grafted base compound A-3001 and a catalyst masterbatch CAT-288UV. Mixed and extruded in the proper proportions (95:5), the two-component blend results in a material that is curable by exposure to 70-95°C hot water or even ambient moisture. Insulation made with PEXIDAN® R/T-UV2 is rated to -40°C and may be marked Sunlight Resistant ("- SR") in all colors and in all sizes per CSA C22.2 No. 38. PEXIDAN® R/T-UV2 is suitable for CSA Type RPV90 and RPVU90 photovoltaic wire per C22.2 No. 271. PEXIDAN® R/T-UV2 is non-flame retardant, halogen free, and RoHS-compliant.
PEXIDAN® SX408 Africa & Middle East
Silane crosslinkable polyethylene for low voltage power cable insulation SX408 pre-grafted base is mixed with a crosslinking catalyst masterbatch CM401 in the ratio 95:5. If high thermal ageing is required, than CM493 should be used instead. Crosslinking is obtained by exposure to moist or hot water immersion only.
PEXIDAN® SX409 Africa & Middle East
Silane crosslinkable polyethylene for medium voltage power cable insulation SX409 pre-grafted base is mixed with a crosslinking catalyst masterbatch CM401 in the ratio 95:5. The SX409:CM401 compound has been specifically developed for cables operating up to 36kV. This compound is typically used in conjunction with crosslinkable semi-conducting material for conductor and insulation shields. Crosslinking is obtained by exposure to moist or hot water immersion only.
PEXIDAN® SX409NT Africa & Middle East
Silane crosslinkable polyethylene for medium voltage power cable insulation SX409NT pre-grafted base is mixed with a crosslinking catalyst masterbatch CM401 in the ratio 95:5. The SX409NT:CM401 system has been specifically developed for cables operating up to 36kV. The graft compound contains a non-staining stabilizer and an effective tree retarder, giving outstanding long term retention of dielectric strength. This compound is typically used in conjunction with crosslinkable semi-conducting material for conductor and insulation shields. Crosslinking is obtained by exposure to moist or hot water immersion only.
PEXIDAN® SX522A Africa & Middle East
Silane crosslinkable polyethylene for low voltage power cable insulation SX522A pre-grafted base is mixed with crosslinking catalyst masterbatch CM401 in the ratio 95:5. This system has ambient cure.
PEXIDAN® SX523 Africa & Middle East
Silane crosslinkable polyethylene for low voltage power cable insulation SX523 pre-grafted black base is mixed with crosslinking catalyst masterbatch CM493 or CM497 in the ratio 95:5. This system is carbon loaded, with high UV stabilization, and has been especially developed for usage on overhead power cables insulation according NFC 33-209, "Câble Torsadé". Crosslinking is obtained by exposure to moist or hot water immersion only.
PEXIDAN® SX546 Africa & Middle East
Silane crosslinkable polyethylene, 125°C rated, for low voltage power cable insulation SX546 pre-grafted base is mixed with crosslinking catalyst masterbatch CM493CD, for small cross sections, or CM497CD, in the ratio 95:5, for a 125°C working temperature system. This system has ambient cure.
PEXIDAN® SX720 Africa & Middle East
Silane crosslinkable polyethylene for high temperature pressure pipes SX720 is a silane grafted polyethylene compound, curable by exposure to moist conditions, and possessing good extrusion properties at high output rates. The graft component SX720 is mixed with a crosslinking catalyst masterbatch CM488 generally in the ratio 95:5. The highly crosslinked materials produced by this two-component system possess excellent impact strength, ESCR, creep and internal pressure resistance under ambient and elevated temperature conditions. These materials have been formulated for hot and cold water pressure pipes and are easily extrudable on conventional polyethylene extrusion lines.
PEXIDAN® SX739 Africa & Middle East
Chemically crosslinkable, high density polyethylene for injection molding Material SX739 is a silane grafted HDPE compound curable by exposure to moist conditions. SX739 is specifically designed for high output processing by conventional thermoplastic injection moulding. The graft component SX739 is mixed with a crosslinking catalyst masterbatch CM488/6 generally in the ratio 95:5. This material combines good flow, high rigidity and excellent notched impact strength. The two component system SX739:CM488/6 has high degree of crosslinking which gives it a useful strength at temperatures not usually reached by HDPE. These materials have been formulated for hot and cold water pressure pipes and are easily extrudable on conventional polyethylene extrusion lines.
PEXIDAN® U/T Africa & Middle East
Low density moisture curable polyethylene compound for low voltage underground service entrance cables (UL styles USE / USE-2 and Secondary URD). PEXIDAN® U/T is a low density XLPE system curable by moisture and consists of a silane pre-grafted base compound A-3001 and a catalyst masterbatch CAT-008. When mixed and extruded in the proper proportions (95/5), the two components result in a material curable by exposure to 70-95°C hot water or even ambient moisture. In order to prevent pre-scorching, the grafted compound and the catalyst masterbatch must be stored separately and mixed only when used. PEXIDAN® U/T is RoHS-compliant. PEXIDAN® U/T is also suitable for medium voltage XLPE jacket applications not requiring flame retardancy.
PEXIDAN® V/T Africa & Middle East
Low density, moisture curable polyethylene system, for low voltage building wire, control cable and cable tray applications (UL styles SIS, XHH, XHHW, XHHW-2, RHH, RHW, and RHW-2 VW-1). Also CSA listed for RW-90 and CIC (-40°C rated). PEXIDAN® V/T is a low density flame-retardant XLPE system curable by moisture and consists of a silane-grafted base compound A-3001 and a flame-retardant catalyst masterbatch CAT-010FR. Mixed and extruded in the proper proportions (50/50), the two components result in a material that is curable by exposure to hot water. PEXIDAN® V/T-2UV is halogenated but is RoHS-compliant. Insulation made with this system may be marked SUNRES or ‘SR' in all colors and in all sizes per UL44, UL4703 and CSA C22.2 #38. This product is also CSA-listed for RW90, RWU90, RPV90 RPVU90 and CIC, ‘SR' and -40C rated.

PEXIDAN® X/T is a low density flame-retardant XLPE system curable by moisture and consists of a silane pre-grafted base compound A-3001 and a flame retardant catalyst masterbatch CAT-005FR. Mixed and extruded in the proper proportions (80:20), the two components result in a material that is curable by exposure to 70-95°C hot water or even ambient moisture. PEXIDAN® X/T-UV is halogenated but is RoHS-compliant. UL44 type insulation may be marked SUNRES or SR in all colors for sizes of 6 AWG and larger. UL4703 photovoltaic insulation may be marked SUNRES in all sizes and colors.
PEXIDAN® X/T-UV2 Africa & Middle East
Low density, moisture curable polyethylene, for low voltage building wire and photovoltaic wire applications (UL styles XHHW-2, RHW-2, RHH, SIS, USE-2, and PV with SUNRES) XLPE system curable by moisture and consists of a silane pre-grafted base compound A-3001 and a flame-retardant catalyst masterbatch CAT-047FR-UV2. Mixed and extruded in the proper proportions, the two-component system results in a material curable by exposure to 70-95°C hot water or even ambient moisture. PEXIDAN® X/T-UV2 is halogenated but is RoHS-compliant. Insulation may be marked SUNRES or SR in all colors and in all sizes per UL44 and UL4703.
