Heat- and light-stabilized polyamide 12 elastomer for molding of sport shoe soles VESTAMID® eCO E40 CC50 is a PA 12 elastomer consisting of PA 12 segments and softening segments. The material is free of volatile or migrating plasticizer. The VESTAMID® E represents thermoplastic elastomers generically characterized as polyether block copolyamides (PEBA) consisting of PA 12 and polyether segments. VESTAMID® eCO E40 CC50 is especially developed for sport shoe soles. It has good impact strength at low temperatures. eCO stands for Evoniks aim to reduce CO2 trough use of renewable or circular feedstocks via mass-balance approach. VESTAMID® eCO E40 CC50 is supplied as spherical pellets in moisture-proof packaging, ready for processing. The process temperatures should be within a range of 170°C – 210°C. Heat stabilized and light resistant polyamide 12 compound VESTAMID® eCO LX9012 T8 B80 has been especially developed for the extrusion and co-extrusion of ski upper and decorative films. Decoration on the bottom side of injection molded sports shoe soles is a further application field. Films made of VESTAMID® eCO LX9012 T8 B80 feature high transparency, good screen and sublimation printing, outstanding scratch resistance, and excellent impact strength at low temperatures. The semi-crystalline compounds based on PA 12 absorb only low quantities of water. Medium viscosity Polyamide 12 VESTAMID® eCO LX9039 BBM100 is an unmodified, medium viscosity polyamide 12 without stabilizers and processing aids.
