ALKAMIX MB6010 is a processing aid masterbatch based on a fluoropolymer compound at a concentration of 10 percent.
ALKAMIX MB6010 can be added to linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) during extrusion to eliminate melt fracture (Sharkskin) type extrusion defects. The level required will vary according to extrusion equipment and type of LLDPE being used, however the recommended addition level is between 0.5 and 1 percent. ALKAMIX MB6010 is compatible with the process aid used in Alkatuff film polymers. The maximum level of addition of MB6010 based on both good manufacturing practice and to ensure conformance to the requirements to the United States Food and Drug Administration Regulations CFR21 is 2.5 percent, when added to a polyethylene formulation free of any other additives. |
