ALKAMIX™ MB-UV815

Generic Family: Masterbatch -- UV Protector / Light Stabilizer -- UV Stabilizer -- Hindered Amine (HALS)Supplied by: Ixom Operations Pty Ltd
ALKAMIX™ MB-UV815 is a 20% concentrate of an effective ultra-violet (UV) light stabilizer in polyethylene carrier. The active ingredient is an oligomeric hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS) with low volatility and high resistance to extraction.

ALKAMIX™ MB-UV815 can be added to polyethylene during extrusion to provide protection against the degradative effects of UV radiation (ie during outdoor weathering). The masterbatch is particularly suitable for addition to polyethylene and polypropylenes. The addition level of MB-UV815 will depend on the desired part lifetime and failure criteria, as well as part thickness, exposure conditions and polymer system under consideration.
